Peel Thunder have gone down to Perth by just one point in round three of the WAFL at Lane Group Stadium.
Peel led by eight points heading into the second quarter but it was the Demons who managed to clinch the 10.6 (66) to 9.11 (65) win.
Despite having more disposals and inside 50s than Perth, Peel coach Adam Read said their inaccuracy in front of goal cost them.
"Disappointing to go down by such a tight margin...we felt like we actually had control of the game for a lot of it, we beat them in most areas of the game except for the one that matters," he said.
"They were just sharper in front of goal than what we were."
Jeremy Sharp was a standout for Peel with 34 disposals and a goal.
The Thunder will face Subiaco in an ANZAC Day clash at Leederville Oval on Saturday, April 25.
"Subi are coming off a couple of really close losses to East Freo and West Coast so I'm sure they'll be fired up and we'll have to be at our best," Read said.
