A man has died after being hit by a car in Warnbro.
Police were called to The Avenue near Torbay Mews about 1.20am on Sunday after a Ford Falcon hit two pedestrians before leaving the scene.
A man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene, while a man, aged in his 30s, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
About 3.10am on Sunday, police located a 36-year-old man and a Ford Falcon in North Dandalup.
The man has been taken into custody and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Homicide Squad and Major Crash detectives are currently at the scene of the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or by making a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au.
