Sad news with the passing of Oscar Winning Actress and icon Diane Keaton at 79.
The acclaimed actress, known for her warmth, wit, and unmistakable charm, passed away in California with the shock news breaking across the weekend. No cause of death has been confirmed, and her family have asked for privacy at this time.
Keaton first captured hearts in the 1970s as Kay Adams in The Godfather films and went on to define a generation of cinema with her Oscar-winning performance in Annie Hall.
Her remarkable career spanned decades, with standout roles in, Baby Boom, The First Wives Club, fan favourite Father of the Bride, The Family Stone, Book Club, Something’s Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson, and many, many more.
Beyond her work on screen, Keaton was admired for her advocacy for animal rights and historic preservation, & her authenticity. She was a true original who lived life on her own terms.
Though linked romantically to Woody Allen, Al Pacino, and Warren Beatty, she never married, instead finding her greatest joy in family.
She is survived by her two children, daughter Dexter and son Duke, whom she adopted in 1996 and 2001.
