A shark advice has been issued for Pyramids Beach in Dawesville due to a technical fault affecting the safety messaging system.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has confirmed the Surf Life Saving WA (SLSWA) Surf Alert Module is currently offline.
This means information like shark detections cannot be broadcast to the public.
SLSWA is now working with contractors to restore the system as soon as possible.
DPIRD advises beach goers to take additional caution in the Pyramids Beach area.
If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.
