The Arson Squad have charged a 55-year-old man over a truck fire in Dudley Park.
The man allegedly set fire to large bale of recycled tyres that were secured to the flatbed of the truck parked on Boundary Road around 1.50am on Monday, September 15.
"As the tyres burnt, they rolled onto the street leaving it completely blocked by burnt rubber and wire from the tyres," a WA Police spokesperson said.
"Nearby power lines and power poles were also damaged by the fire causing a power outage."
The fire caused an estimated $200,000 damage.
The Coodanup man has been charged with criminal damage by fire and is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today.
