The community rallied together at the eastern foreshore on Thursday as a part of National Homeless Awareness Week.
The Peel Homelessness Awareness Day aims to support those who are struggling by offering free goods and services to those in need.
According to Homelessness Australia, over 9,000 West Australians are without a home on any given night.
Domestic violence and relationship issues is the main cause of homelessness, followed by financial difficulties and accomodation issues like the housing crisis.
This year's event had a number of organisations involved including the Halo Team, Peel Health Campus, Peel Volunteer Resource Centre, Palmerston, St Vincent de Paul and East Lake Church.
Free hair cuts, food, clothes and health services were all offered.
Seven van-loads of non-perishable food and bags of essential items donated by the community was also brought down by The Wave and Coast FM.
There was also activities such as the annual Passages Couch Surfing Race, to raise awareness of couch surfing and homelessness among our community.
