Baldivis Districts Community Band Open Rehearsal

Have you ever played a musical instrument and thought, “I really should get back into that”?

The Baldivis District Concert Band is inviting musicians from across the local community to come along to our Open Night on Tuesday, 13 October, at Baldivis Hall, Fifty Road, Baldivis, from 6:30–8:30pm.

Whether you played an instrument at school years ago, have recently picked one up again, or are an experienced musician looking for somewhere to play, we'd love you to come along.

The band brings together musicians of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience, performing a wide variety of music including concert band repertoire, film music, popular favourites, marches and musicals.

We're particularly keen to encourage people who have been away from their instrument for a while and would like to get back into playing. If you've got a trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba, clarinet, saxophone, flute, percussion instrument or another band instrument sitting in the cupboard, this could be the perfect opportunity to get it out again.

The Open Night is a chance to meet the members, meet the conductor, listen to a rehearsal and, if you'd like, bring your instrument and play with us.

There is no audition and no obligation to join. You don't need to be an expert musician — community bands are about making music together, developing your skills, meeting people and enjoying being part of an ensemble.

We're welcoming musicians from Baldivis, Rockingham, Kwinana, Secret Harbour, Port Kennedy, Warnbro, Byford, Wellard and surrounding areas.
