2026 Cut 2 Club Swim

The 5km and 3.5km courses take entrants along the Dawesville Channel (The Cut) from the Mandurah Estuary around the Southern groyne into the open ocean, swimming South parallel to the coastline, past ‘The Wedge’ (renowned surf break) before turning 90 degrees to finish on Pyramids Beach in front of the Port Bouvard SLSC clubhouse (3.5km).  The 5km course adds a further 750m swim leg South to a point near the Oceanique Apartments in Dawesville, where entrants will round a large buoy to then swim 750m North before turning toward the shore and finish line as per the 3.5km swim entrants.  PLEASE NOTE:  Waves, Wind and Current can make this ocean leg a challenge (conditions dependent of course).

For those competitors that are a little less adventurous, wanting to avoid the challenge of the open ocean, the shorter 2.25km course is available which will see swimmers finish in the Dawesville Cut before reaching the ocean, at a Fishing jetty adjacent to the Port Bouvard SLSC clubhouse.

The event is building upon the previous successes and is destined to become a pillar of the South West’s Open Water Swim Season with the stunning location, the challenge, the rare opportunity to swim through this amazing waterway being sure to attract both seasoned and competitive swimmers alike.

• 2.25km Open Water Swim
